Solar power used to extract oil from oil wells in Oman

Do you know that Oman has now started using solar power for extraction of oil from oil wells.  The present process of extraction of oil involves burning natural gas to produce steam.  Instead of using natural gas, solar power is now used to generate the steam for extraction of oil.
